I even tried resetting the computer. :( I hope it works for everyone else.

Tested all the others, and they are all disabled. this is an asus F5R series did you try pressing the control button or ctrl + f5? As a related fix, you can enable the touchpad option to disable touchpad when external mouse is attached - I use this option myself with a USB dongle wireless controller for No option to turn off the trackpad any more.

nothing happens. FN+10 etc works. btw ASUS told me NOT to update other drivers, only what's not working.
To disable the PS2 touchpad driver, you need to be the "Owner" of i8042prt.sys file under C:\Windows\System32\drivers.

All seems fine but I can not shut off the touchpad with function keys.
