It has had shown me up "checking network requirements" and after that "can't connect to this network" every time I tried to connect. That will tell you for certain if it is a hardware or software problem. If you only had problems transmitting that should probably be it. I was previously able to connect to WiFi on the original hard drive; in terms of hardware, nothing else has changed.
