It worked for me, anyway. The time now is 02:38. That would also allow me to cut out the Extender middleman, and give me more flexibility on what kinds of media I can play back. That will do the trick.
If this fails, please post the text from Event Viewer showing all the details. I am happy to report that I now have a functioning WMC. Delete the Mcx User account located under C:\Users (This is the account that is corrupted that wmc creates also I am assuming you don't have any media center extenders already connected So in order to see if this is your problem navigate to C:\Users\DEFAULT folder and inside you will see a ntuser.dat file, if not here is what you need to do
