One ASRock mobo on desktop took 6 years to fry, one Gigabyte mobo took 2 months. Take away any of the "problems" you mention and answer the simple question of whether it still performs the functions you need out of a computer. The netbook shuts down (in XP, Ubuntu or even just after switching on starting the BIOS). Because im a student and i use my laptop to write papers, i can't be doing work for three hours and just lose everything ive been working on. I know that many folks have become suspicious of Windows Automatic Update for various reasons, but I've not heard of any crashes resulting its use. Perhaps it is a manufacturing issue, a faulty something or other that is occurring repeatedly in this particular model.
