My HP DV6810 Laptop Won't Turn On Anymore

It is a latpop software function designed to prolong the lifetime of the battery. Now its behaving as it should: charging both when the computer is on and off – all the way to 100%. TechSpot is a registered trademark. Update: tried installing windows xp, ive crossed the same problem, my lappy doesn’t charge for a couple of minutes but resumes afterwards. At 3 PM I plugged it in again and my battery was 46% left.

I have 7 HP DV6000 computers in our office and I tried using different chargers on the computer that was giving me the annoying message “plugged in, not charging” and it navigate to this website Just for the record.. Any pointers?? then I removed the battery and then put it back again.
They fixed the pin (replaced the board) and it works fine now. I then took it in and out of the socket as fast as i could (not terribly vigerously or forcibly) for about ten seconds. I bought an HP dv6406nr at Best Buy and 3 weeks into it started having this same issue after I let the battery drain once. HP battery check even tells me my battery should be replaced (AC plugged, not charging) then tells me that is good when it starts charging. I have a brand new laptop from Cyberpowerpc.com, Windows Vista. I ditched Vista! click site Everything works normally agian.
