At the moment, I set share by choosing 'Sharing Options' from the right click menu. I created folders on this drive and set as sharing for windows users on the same network. The time it takes to backup is irrelevant as it is all completed overnight. If the static addresses are asigned (no DHCP on network), then there is a chance that the active network device has a problem.
