Regarding the .ogg files meta-data missing in iTunes - to my knowledge, there is no way to fix this from the XiphQT source code point of view.
All other programs continue to produce output to the speakers normally.The first time this happened, I just reinstalled an older version of iTunes. odd that it is happening immediately after an install, though. I had this problem in the past and cannot remember how to resolve it - I have also googled a solution but can find nothing. I am pretty sure SFB is the only way to get there. I finally got it working and am now able to record the screen audio together with the screen.
