No Sound After Installing Vista Service Pack 2

It's not muted, my monitor isn't muted, does anyone know what the problem might be? According to a scan, I did have back-level drivers Realtek High Definition Audio and ATI HDMI (also a Realtek driver) . Tried with 'FIX IT'....nothing....doesn't help....re-instaled the sounds drivers....again...no efect....Are there some one who cam help....or otherwise I have to reinstall my old version on Vista with SP1 with back up copy? Uninstall the driver in Device manager, this should be in Control Panel. http://vehizero.com/no-sound/no-sound-after-installing-windows-7.html these steps in this sequence worked for me, but only after uninstalling and re-installing drivers and restarting my computer about 4 times, i think it is sensative to the actual sequence
