When I plug in my head phones my computer does not register them and keeps playing music on the main speakers, I have checked the Sound in the controlpanel but only Then I went in through the compartment in front of it that has a flip-up door. We know about default devices. useful reference I plugged my headphones back in and they could still play and when I took them out again everything worked perfect again.

So go back to the Device Manager and check for a Realtek driver. And i tried different earphones and speakers too but i am not getting any sound.
Sounds like you may need to do some more research on this as your model may have other options. Make sure that it is dry before you use it again. The headphone jack has a "switch" in it that shuts off the speakers when you plug in the headphones. Check your levels in alsamixer.
