System is now at a point whereby if I insert and apply the TCIP settings (static) through IPv4 Properties, the system immediately wipes them blank. Any devices should show up under Network. They still appear in File Explorer on my other Windows 8.1 PC under Computer. There is an election, even MS says it can take up to 45 minutes sometimes. Can you ping the other computers from the Command Window? Setting up shared folders in Win7 and Vista will probably require you to change sharing permissions for any shared folder, and you might also have to change settings under the Security The internet says that the firewall or AV should be problem. I used to be able to open explorer on 3 different machines and all 3 would show all network devices. when I open an file explorer window, sometimes there is everytihg, but most of the time, there is just "desktop" and it is searching.I have to manually right click and open Hope that you can figure it out.
