Task manager does not help very much as it does not show all the processes (added screenshots below). Other versions did not have this problem, which clearly indicates that VS2015 is bugged. I've just tested 2013 Update 5 and the initial memory required to perform the traversal is allocated, but thereafter no further memory is spent.

Disable Programs Running at StartupIt's suggested that you'd better disable as many programs as possible that are running at startup on Windows 10. Furthermore is it sometimes not possible to continue after a breakpoint. Nothing has jumped out at me. I had my machine completely re-imaged and did a fresh install of visual studio. When comparing memory usage make sure you press shift+alt+ctrl+F12 twice to force VS to do full GC. After installing, I noticed that project compilation took several times longer than before.
