Catbird Is there a way to show/hide the All Apps list? The Desktop link will probably be in the first Start Menu\Programs directory. Right-click each application’s name and choose either Pin to Start Menu or Pin to Taskbar. Try creating one folder and moving one shortcut to it… Minimize file explorer and check your start screen.

This gives you the most useful feature of the start menu that had a most used list and then you drilled down into all programs if your program wasn't there. The default tiles that are on your Start screen are not, though, the only programs that you can add.
